The Grumpy Monkeys, Vol. 1 was a definite labor of love. It was about three years in the making, partially due to the events of the world and partially due to us not knowing exactly how to go about it and these were our first songs to have been written. So in our small home studio in Sperry, Oklahoma we just did it. Truly an independent album from start to finish, as we learned most everything on the fly. But it was something we truly wanted and maybe needed to do for ourselves and for our families. Hopefully, it can give others as much joy as it has given us.
