The Grumpy Monkeys are a studio band from the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. And by studio band I mean we don't play live... and I'm not sure we ever really meant to. All of us have performed live at some point in our lives, but now we just wanted to get together and create. Now we write and play original music in our home studio. We do everything ourselves because we enjoy the freedom to create what we want. We love writing songs about our life experiences and telling stories in our own way.
Currently there are 3 of us in the band full time, Debbie Claybrook, Tom Trepp and myself, Brian Ruiz. We do it all, original music done our way, without outside interference. This is what we love to do and if others get enjoyment out of our songs or find something that resonates with them, well…that's even better!
